The purpose of Presbyterian Women is set forth as:

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study

to support the mission of the church worldwide

to work for justice and peace, and

to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

MEMBERSHIP in Presbyterian Women is open to all women who attend Second Presbyterian Church.  A warm welcome is extended to all women to participate in the many activities of Presbyterian Women.

THE COORDINATING TEAM

THE COORDINATING TEAM (CT) handles the organizational details of Presbyterian Women.  This team is composed of elected officers, circle representatives and elected committee chairpersons.

MISSION

Presbyterian Women participates in various mission projects and provides an opportunity for second mile giving for support of mission programs.  Some of the projects and programs sponsored by the PW are:

Youth mission trip

Christmas giving projects (Mitten Tree, Giving Tree)

Food drives

Buckhorn Children's Foundation

Quilt making for different missions

Thank Offering (supports PW mission on international level)
